Neurological Conditions

A neurological ailment or condition affects the brain, spinal cord, or any of the body’s many nerves. This may result in cognitive, motor, memory, visual, and affective deficits.

Neurodegenerative conditions gradually deteriorate function over time. Different levels of physical function are affected by these disorders, which have a variety of effects on people.

Exercise can be beneficial for people with neurological conditions, as it can help improve overall physical function, cardiovascular health, and cognitive function. It can also help reduce symptoms such as muscle stiffness and weakness, and improve mood and overall quality of life.

Our Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Allied Health Assistants are fully accredited professionals who will perform a thorough evaluation of your strength, co-ordination and balance before creating a customised treatment plan.  They will define your goals and prescribe a program that you can both work on together to achieve.

Our programs will be safe and relevant to people with neurological conditions to manage symptoms which include balance, fatigue, co-ordination, muscle weakness and mental health.
