Living Well with Persistent Pain can form part of your integrated journey to optimal health

The Living Well with Persistent Pain Program

Is a initiative designed to empower individuals living with chronic pain. This program provides valuable knowledge and practical skills to manage pain effectively at home and in the community.

Who Can Join? Adults over 18 years who have experienced persistent pain lasting more than 3-6 months are eligible for this program.

This approach to pain management focuses on two key areas:

  • Gaining a better understanding of pain and learning what you can do to manage it.
  • Building skills to help you stay active and manage everyday activities more confidently

Program Highlights

Tailored Support

Collaborate with a team of local healthcare professionals, Exercise Physiologists and Allied Health Assistants.

Practical Group Education

Learn evidence-based strategies to understand and manage chronic pain through engaging, supportive group sessions designed to build confidence and self-management skills.

Free of Charge

Funded by Adelaide PHN, this program offers access to expert care and resources at no cost.

What’s Involved?

Educational Workshops

Gain insights into the nature of your pain, available treatments, and strategies to enhance daily living despite pain.

Practical Strategies

Develop effective pain management techniques and lifestyle adjustments to improve your overall well-being.

To participate in the program, you must seek a referral from your regular GP or specialist.

Please note: The program does not provide pain specialists or surgical services. Enrollment in the program will not alter your position on hospital-based pain clinic lists.
